New Ideas

After careful thinking we decided to scrap the original song choice (Teenage Dirtbag) as we felt that the video would become too similar to the original and would lack originality as a general video idea.

We all started to research again different girl bands. Although we weren't sure of  what song we would eventually choose we all knew that we wanted to be a girl band and we wanted a music video with performance and narrative elements.

Research 

We looked back to our original top choices which were 'Louder' and 'Me and my Girls'. 

Despite ruling out 'Me and My Girls' previously due to the lyrical content and the difficulty for us to act it, it was definitely the song we were drawn to the most as it was upbeat and bouncy - like we originally wanted. We could also create an image for them that is satirical and clever, something that works to our strengths, rather than their current image.

The song focuses of the girls nights together at a sleepover talking about 'typical teenage antics'. This meant we could easily add teenage iconography and symbolism to attract to our key demographic - teen girls. However, as we listened to the lyrics we felt that the video we need to focus around a sleep over and would be creating an almost identical video to the original.

Despite consolidating our thoughts about why things could not work, we still need to find a song which is proving very difficult.
